HOW TO VOTE (There are 3 ways)

1. BY ABSENTEE BALLOT

All registered voters in New York State have the option of voting via absentee ballot due to the pandemic.

The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot has passed.

When completing your absentee ballot, follow the directions carefully. The absentee ballot goes into the security envelope, which must be sealed, signed, and dated.  That envelope then goes into the mailing envelope, which must also be sealed. Absentee ballots being returned by mail must postmarked no later than November 3rd and received at the Board of Elections no later than November 10th.  At this point, we recommend that you drop off your absentee ballot rather than mail it. Or vote in person (see below). Requesting or receiving an absentee ballot does not preclude you from voting in person.

Completed absentee ballots can be dropped off on Election Day, November 3rd, at:

> Westchester County Board of Elections, 25 Quarropas St, White Plains

> Any polling place in the county

For detailed information about dropping off your completed absentee ballot, go to https://citizenparticipation.westchestergov.com/images/stories/pdfs/2020absenteedrop.pdf

2. IN-PERSON EARLY VOTING UNTIL NOVEMBER 1ST

The Early Voting period is now over.

3. VOTING IN PERSON ON ELECTION DAY - THE LAST DAY TO VOTE

If you prefer to vote on Election Day, Tuesday November 3rd, polls will be open from 6 am to 9 pm.

Unlike Early Voting, you must vote at your designated polling place on Election Day. Not sure where that is? Click here.

Requesting or receiving an absentee ballot does not preclude you from voting in person! Mailing in an absentee ballot does not preclude you from voting in person! New York's election laws allow for a registered voter to vote in person even if she or he has received an absentee ballot. Even if that absentee ballot has been mailed in.

If a person votes via absentee ballot and then votes in person, the absentee ballot will be discounted.
