BALLOT PROPOSALS  These will be found on the back of your ballot. Don't forget to turn over your ballot!

STATEWIDE BALLOT PROPOSALS

New Yorkers have more than just candidates on their ballots this fall; there are ballot questions to vote for or against.

Proposal One: Amending the Apportionment and Redistricting Process

Proposal Two: Right to Clean Air, Clean Water, and a Healthful Environment

Proposal Three: Eliminating Ten-Day-Advance Voter Registration Requirement

Proposal Four: Authorizing No-Excuse Absentee Ballot Voting

Proposal Five: Increasing the Jurisdiction of the New York City Civil Court

The League has several resources to help voters educate themselves about the ballot proposals, two of which don't take any positions and simply explain the five questions: a Voters Guide pamphlet and a video of a recent educational program. To view, click on the buttons below.

COUNTYWIDE BALLOT PROPOSAL

All Westchester County residents will be voting on a countywide proposal regarding a County Ethics Code.

TOWN BALLOT PROPOSALS

Local voters in Lewisboro and Mount Kisco will have additional proposals on their ballots. One of the things you can do on Vote411.org is enter your address to see who and what will be on your particular ballot; this includes all ballot proposals for your address.

If knowing the League's positions on an issue helps you decide how to vote, the League is a No on Proposal One, Yes on Proposals 2, 3 & 4, and has no position on Proposal 5. As for the countywide proposal, the League is a Yes.

Click on the Vote411 button to see, among other things, all of the proposals on your ballot.

Click on other buttons for the countywide and local ballot proposals, as well as for explanations of the League positions on the state and county proposals.
